Treat4Life’s Dr. Ingrid Wagner is a clinical and mental health social worker with over 30 years of experience in mental health. She has specialised in the field of child and youth mental health.
From 2001 to 2010, Ingrid was the Director of Social Work for Child & Youth Mental Health Services, in the then Royal Children’s Health Service District. In this position she provided direct treatment services such as individual therapy, family therapy, parent therapy, and group therapy to treat complex mental health problems. She was responsible for the clinical supervision and professional development of the social workers in this service.
In 2010, Dr. Wagner was awarded a Clinical Academic Fellowship and was appointed to an Associate Professorship at the School of Social Work, Queensland University of Technology for a 5 year term. In this position she taught assessment and intervention to Master of Social Work students, provided training and supervision for mental health workers and social work students, and provided family and parent therapy services at the university health clinic. Throughout the 5 year Fellowship, Dr. Wagner worked with international experts to disseminate evidence based treatments for child and adolescent mental health problems.
